Raley’s, Bel Air and Nob Hill Workers Ratify Historic Agreement in Northern California

ROSEVILLE, CALIF. (July 29, 2022) — Members of UFCW 8-Golden State working at Raley’s, Bel Air and Nob Hill Foods throughout the Central Valley and Northern California have voted overwhelmingly to ratify new labor agreements.

The agreements include sizeable wage increases, meaningful health care and pension benefit improvements, and protect retiree medical benefits. The three-year contracts impact over 5,000 members of UFCW 8 working among the three grocery locations.

“These landmark agreements are the direct result of the unity and support of the membership,” said Jacques Loveall, president of UFCW 8-Golden State.

“The contracts recognize our members’ courageous service in keeping the stores functioning efficiently throughout the pandemic and provide the largest combined wage increases ever seen in tentative agreements with Raley’s,” President Jacques Loveall said.

Additionally, the contracts include medical benefit improvements with employer-paid contributions for the plans, improved wage progressions, and the creation of additional Lifetime Income Security Accrual Account (LISA) retirement plans for current and future members.

Our members remained united through the bargaining process and together, we have proven, once again, Solidarity Works!
