July 28, 2022 – Over the past three days, Pharmacist members from all Southern CA UFCW locals working at Albertsons, Vons, and Ralphs thoughtfully reviewed the contract offer, attended meetings, asked questions, and ultimately made their voice heard, collectively voting to reject the companies offer.
Our top priority is to advocate for the needs of our members, and we stand behind their decision to reject this contract. Their vote has made clear the importance of patient care, staffing levels, and fair wages.
While preparing the next steps, we have been asked by the federal mediator to allow the companies to return to the table next week. We will continue to update members on any new bargaining dates and strike action.
