The unions and companies met earlier this week, however little progress has been made. Additional meetings are scheduled over the next few weeks.
In response to the companies’ negotiating positions, Southern CA UFCW Locals have scheduled meetings to authorize economic action up to and including a strike, if necessary. Additional information will be available at the meetings scheduled for Monday, June 20, and Tuesday, June 21.
Members have been notified by mail the location and time for meetings in their area. Please make every effort to attend one of these important meetings. It’s critical the companies understand the membership’s resolve and determination to achieve a fair contract.
