The mailing of the Safeway / Vons ratification material has been temporarily postponed.
This delay is due to Save Mart’s reluctance to agree to the health care improvements agreed to by Safeway / Vons.
The health care plan requires at least two major companies to be in agreement before health care improvements can be implemented.
The details of the Safeway / Vons agreement will not be distributed until Save Mart agrees to the health care plan improvements.
We have additional bargaining sessions scheduled and we will keep you posted as developments unfold.
