Bargaining with Save Mart is ongoing this week. Among your Union’s top priorities are to maintain the integrity of your health care plan.
We have achieved all of our health and welfare improvement goals in the tentative agreement between UFCW 8-Golden State and Safeway / Vons.
We will not compromise or settle for anything less than those same health and welfare provisions with Save Mart. If and when it becomes necessary to seek authorization by the membership in order to achieve those goals, the UFCW International Union will sanction a strike.
In the meantime, we thank you for your continued patience and support of your Union in word and deed.
