Southern California Rite Aid Negotiations and Contract Ratification Update

We are pleased to announce UFCW members working in Southern California Rite Aid locations have ratified a new three-year agreement. Thank you to all members who participated in the voting process and ensured your voice was heard.

Member solidarity helped secure the contract they deserve, which delivers the following improvements:

  • Significant Wage Increases: Substantial raises each year of the agreement. Initial increases will be retroactive to July 21, 2024.
  • Longevity Pay Rates: New higher pay rates established for employees at 10 and 15 years of service.
  • Healthcare and Pension Protections: Rite Aid has committed to fully funding all health and pension benefits with no changes for the duration of the contract.
  • Guaranteed Work Hours: Protections for both full-time and part-time employees’ hours, preventing reductions the company had previously proposed.
  • End to Lunch Waivers: The agreement eliminates the practice of requiring workers to waive lunch breaks.

This achievement is a testament to the strength demonstrated at the bargaining table, in stores, and through members’ actions. This victory strengthens the contract for the coming years and lays the foundation for the future.

If members have questions about the new contract, please reach out to your District Union Representative. Standing together, we have proven again, Solidarity Works!
