Thank you to all our members for your patience and unwavering support as we finalize the voting materials for the tentative agreement. We are in the process of incorporating contract language into six separate agreements, covering nearly 10,000 members across approximately 200 locations. This detailed effort is critical to ensure every aspect of the agreement is clear and precise.
While the holiday closure of the Unionized printer has slowed the process, it has also provided the opportunity to ensure all members receive complete details of the new agreement. We anticipate these finalized documents will be sent to members very soon.
We are pleased to report this agreement has none of the “take-aways” the company sought throughout negotiations. Building on the wage increases received by members in July and September 2024, there will also be an immediate wage increase upon ratification. The agreement also includes:
- Annual wage increases to continue building on the progress we’ve made.
- An increase in Sunday premium pay to $2.00/hour for 20 year or longer employees.
- Improved pension benefits, enhancing long-term financial security.
- Increased staffing at checkouts, improving both the workplace environment and customer service.
- Additional provisions which strengthen member protections.
This tentative agreement is a reflection of the solidarity and determination shown by our members throughout negotiations. It recognizes the value and contributions of every member while securing meaningful improvements to wages, benefits, and working conditions.
Please continue to stay engaged as we move forward. Members will have an opportunity to review and ask questions before voting on the new agreement. This contract builds on the strength of our Union and protects the rights and dignity of our members. Standing together, we will continue to prove Solidarity Works!
Actualización de los contratos de Save Mart, Lucky y Food Maxx - 8 de enero de 2025
Gracias a todos nuestros miembros por su paciencia y apoyo inquebrantable mientras finalizamos los materiales de votación para el acuerdo tentativo. Estamos incorporando el lenguaje contractual a seis convenios distintos, que abarcan a casi 10.000 afiliados de aproximadamente 200 centros. Este esfuerzo detallado es fundamental para garantizar que todos los aspectos del acuerdo sean claros y precisos.
Aunque el cierre por vacaciones de la imprenta sindicalizada ha ralentizado el proceso, también ha brindado la oportunidad de garantizar que todos los afiliados reciban los detalles completos del nuevo convenio. Prevemos que estos documentos finalizados se enviarán a los afiliados muy pronto.
Nos complace informar que este acuerdo no contiene ninguna de las «quitas» que la empresa buscó a lo largo de las negociaciones. Mejorar los aumentos salariales recibidos por los miembros en julio y septiembre de 2024, también habrá un aumento salarial inmediato tras la ratificación. El acuerdo también incluye
- Aumentos salariales anuales para seguir construyendo sobre el progreso que hemos hecho.
- Aumento de la prima dominical a 2,00 dólares la hora para los trabajadores con 20 años o más de antigüedad.
- Mejora de las prestaciones de jubilación, para aumentar la seguridad financiera a largo plazo.
- Mayor dotación de personal en las cajas, mejorando tanto el ambiente de trabajo como el servicio al cliente.
- Disposiciones adicionales que refuerzan la protección de los afiliados.
