September 18, 2024 — UFCW 8-Golden State is proud to announce a tentative agreement has been reached with Foods Co. in Northern California. After extensive negotiations, we have secured a contract which delivers significant improvements for our members, including:
- Substantial wage increases, up to $4.50 for 2nd Persons, Experienced MPC’s and Meat Cutters classifications over the life of the agreement
- A ratification bonus of $1,500 for Full-Time, $1,000 for Part-Time
- Increased hours for part-time workers
- Improvements in holiday pay
- Contract terms extending to March 5, 2028
“This agreement is a direct result of the strength and unity displayed by our members throughout the bargaining process. Our members have proven when we stand together, we can achieve substantial gains which recognize and reward the essential work they perform every day,” said President Jacques Loveall.
Complete details of the tentative agreement will be shared with members shortly. Members will have an opportunity to review the full terms and ask their District Union Representative any questions before voting on the agreement.
