We have made significant progress with Safeway/Vons reaching an agreement on several major aspects of the health and welfare provisions of the contract and continue to make meaningful progress in other areas of the contract.
Last week we had extensive meetings with Save Mart/Lucky/FoodMaxx/Maxx Value, including Kern County, which were slow but fruitful enough to warrant additional meeting dates set for this week. Additional dates to continue negotiations with Raley’s/Bel Air/Nob Hill/Food Source are being confirmed.
Member solidarity plays a critical role in bargaining as we diligently work to come to agreements recognizing and compensating our members’ hard work and dedication.
