November 17, 2022 – UFCW 8-Golden State members working at Adventist Health Mendocino Coast Hospital have ratified a new three-year agreement. With the new agreement, members will be placed at the wage grade applicable to their classification, providing an initial wage increase of 4.9% to 8% for most members.

Members will also see contractual wage increases of 3.5% in the second year and 3% in the third year of the new agreement.

Additionally, UFCW 8 members working at Adventist Health will see no increase in premium sharing for health insurance, something unheard of in today’s economy. There are improvements in On Call/Stand By pay, Per Diem staffing opportunities, and the adoption of a new Joint Labor Management Committee.

“Our members working in healthcare continue working through challenging times,” said Jacques Loveall, President of UFCW 8-Golden State. “The new agreement provides meaningful wage increases and stability for our members.”

Member unity throughout the bargaining process helped make these negotiations a success. Working together, we prove once again Solidarity Works!
