Bargaining continues today with Save Mart for the Yosemite Wholesale, Save Mart Office and Maxx Value contracts. Contracts were set to expire today, July 1, however, we have made significant progress in recent days and additional meeting dates are scheduled throughout the week.
In light of the recent progress, we have signed individual extension agreements with Save Mart for each of the above contracts. The contract extensions will continue on a day-to-day basis, and either side will be able to cancel the extension with 72-hours written notice.
The extensions also ensure members’ wages, benefits and working conditions remain protected through negotiations. With the extension agreements in place, discussions continued into the evening. We remain committed to reaching an agreement which both recognizes and rewards our members’ dedication.
