In meetings with Perfect Union, the company has discussed the challenges they and the industry are facing. Our goal remains to reach an agreement which protects core components of the agreement while keeping members working and ensuring the company remains operational during this turbulent time.
We have progressed in several areas. To keep things moving forward, we are considering all solutions, including a shorter agreement which would allow us to revisit important areas which, under current circumstances, may financially paralyze the employer’s rehabilitation plan.
We’ve also expanded efforts with state, local and federal leaders. We are pushing to eliminate excessive taxes, streamline the application processes and ensure cannabis employers have the same opportunities all other businesses have to compete in the open market. Providing quality jobs in your community is a goal we all share.
