UFCW 8-Golden State Reaches Tentative Agreement with Adventist Health – Dec 9, 2020

We are pleased to report UFCW 8-Golden State has reached a tentative agreement with Adventist Health Mendocino Coast Hospital.

During these unprecedented times, the bargaining environment for front-line workers has made negotiations immensely challenging. Additionally, Mendocino Coast District Hospital (MCDH) transitioned from a public non-profit to private ownership under Adventist Health.

“This contract is a significant ‘win’ for our members. Their dedication, along with the joint labor and management efforts, allowed us to reach a settlement during this difficult time,” said President Jacques Loveall.

The agreement includes wage increases retroactive to July 1, 2020, the elimination of the frozen wage progressions, improved protections for promotions and transfers, streamlined language for resolving grievances, and other significant gains.

Completed details of the tentative agreement will be provided to members by mail prior to voting.

Our front-line members’ commitment to community and solidarity has been critical to reaching an agreement. As part of a Union family, our members have a voice, and a vote, in their future.

Together, we continue to prove … Solidarity Works!
