After extensive negotiations during this challenging bargaining period, Northern California members of UFCW 8-Golden State voted overwhelmingly to extend the contract with Foods Co.
The extension agreement includes wage increases for experienced classifications, maintains health care benefits and secures all other provisions of the contract. This additional pay helps recognize the extraordinary contributions retail workers are making while supporting our communities in these times of crisis. Bargaining will resume again early next year.
“Our members are strong and united. They’re heroes on the front lines supporting their community. Together we will continue to prove Solidarity Works!” President Loveall said.
UFCW 8-Golden State represents tens of thousands of members in supermarkets, drug stores, food processing plants, wineries, distilleries, cannabis facilities, medical offices and other workplaces from the Oregon border in the north to Los Angeles county in the south.
