Southern California Retail Food Negotiations Update – May 25, 2019

Retail Food Negotiations continued in Southern California this week. We have a great deal of ground to cover to properly fund the medical and pension benefits, while also providing meaningful wages increases to our members.

The companies gained enormous tax relief this year while executives received sizable raises. We believe our members are also entitled to substantial increases.

“The employers must recognize an agreement needs to reward the hard work and commitment of our members,” said President Jacques Loveall, “It’s our members’ efforts on the front lines of their stores which make these companies successful.”

The determination and solidarity of our members continue to have an impact on bargaining. If you have any questions, contact your District Union Representative and we will keep you informed as negotiations continue.

Remain united, support your Union bargaining team in word and deed, and together we will prove …

Solidarity Works!
