After four days of complex negotiations, beginning last week through yesterday, the employers have continued to offer insufficient wage increases, without adequately recognizing the dedication and value of our hard-working members.
We believe that one good job should be enough to provide for you and your families. The employers think one more nickel should be enough.
UFCW 8-Golden State will be holding meetings on September 10th and 11th to vote to accept or reject the employers’ final offer. District Union Representatives will be in stores with more information on meeting dates and locations. UFCW Locals have also filed unfair labor practice charges against both companies. Complete details will be provided at the meetings.
In the meantime, customer mobilization will continue next week as we fight for better jobs and better service for California’s families. Thousands of customers have already shown their support, and we’re not done yet.
Remain united, and together we will prove …
Solidarity Works!
