Strike Threat Leads to Tentative Agreement with Save Mart/Lucky

UFCW Locals 5, 8 and 648 have reached a tentative agreement for a new three-year agreement with Save Mart/Lucky.

The historic deal comes after the unions terminated the contract extension agreement and threatened to strike the company on March 27.

“This agreement is a direct result of the tremendous support of the membership and the solidarity shown between all UFCW locals in Northern California,” said Jacques Loveall, president of UFCW 8-Golden State.

Together, we have proven, once again, Solidarity Works!

Previously scheduled strike vote meetings have been canceled. Details about the settlement and the ratification process will be available soon. Continue to check www.UFCW8.org for the latest information.
