Southern Calif. Pharmacist Negotiations Update: ULP Strike Authorization Votes

After two days of bargaining, Ralphs and Albertsons’ latest proposal still does not reflect the value, professionalism, and patient care UFCW 8 pharmacist members provide every day.

We are also addressing serious unfair labor practice concerns, including unilateral changes, surveillance of members active in the contract campaign, and failure to provide information needed for bargaining. These issues interfere with members’ rights and make progress at the table more difficult.

For these reasons, Southern California UFCW Locals will hold Unfair Labor Practice strike authorization votes in the coming weeks.
Every pharmacist member should make plans to participate and your District Union Representatives will drop by stores with more details. A strong YES vote will send a clear message to Ralphs and Albertsons: pharmacist members are united, committed, and ready to stand together for a fair contract.

As bargaining continues, our unity remains our greatest strength. Please continue standing together with your coworkers and contact your District Union Representatives with any questions. Together we will prove Solidarity Works!
