UFCW 8-Golden State and UFCW Local 5 resumed joint negotiations with Raley’s, Bel Air, and Nob Hill on Thursday. During this session, our bargaining team presented a comprehensive proposal aimed at securing meaningful gains for the hard-working members who keep these stores running strong.
Unfortunately, we are disappointed by the company’s response. The company’s wage offer remains inadequate—falling short of what has already been agreed to with other major grocery employers in Northern California and does not reflect the value our members bring to their stores every day, nor does it match the dedication shown through challenging times and continued growth.
Negotiations are scheduled to continue in the coming days and weeks. We remain committed to reaching a fair contract which rewards our members for their service, sacrifice, and commitment to the company and their community.

UFCW 8-Golden State y UFCW Local 5 reanudaron las negociaciones conjuntas con Raley’s, Bel Air y Nob Hill el jueves. Durante esta sesión, nuestro equipo de negociación presentó una propuesta integral destinada a garantizar beneficios significativos para los miembros que trabajan arduamente para mantener estas tiendas en funcionamiento.
Lamentablemente, nos ha decepcionado la respuesta de la empresa. La oferta salarial de la empresa sigue siendo insuficiente, ya que no alcanza lo acordado con otros importantes empleadores del sector de la alimentación en el norte de California y no refleja el valor que nuestros miembros aportan a sus tiendas cada día, ni se corresponde con la dedicación demostrada en tiempos difíciles y con el crecimiento continuo.
