We’ve reached a turning point in negotiations. You’re being asked to take an important step to give your bargaining team the authority to call a strike if it becomes necessary.

Let me be clear. This vote is not a decision to strike right now. It’s a decision to stand together, to back our team, and to send a powerful message. We’re serious about winning a contract we can be proud of.

Right now, your employer has been stalling. They’ve committed unfair labor practices, including refusing to share key information with your bargaining team. When they show up to the table, they don’t bargain in good faith. That’s called surface bargaining, and it’s totally unacceptable.

Meanwhile, we’re fighting for the things you deserve. fair wage increases, scheduling improvements, protecting your health care, and fortifying your pension benefits. What they’re offering and what you deserve are miles apart.

This is why your strike vote is critical. It shows we’re united. It puts real power behind our words when we go back to the bargaining table. Your employer is focused on maximizing profits. That’s what companies do. Your union is focused on securing your fair share. That’s what we do.

The stronger the message we send now, the stronger your contract will be. So vote yes. Not because we want to strike, but because we are totally committed to progress for you and your families.

Send the message. We don’t want to strike, but we will if need be.

Hemos llegado a un punto de inflexión en las negociaciones. Se les pide que den un paso importante para otorgar a su equipo negociador la autoridad para convocar una huelga si fuera necesario.

Permítanme ser claro. Esta votación no es una decisión de ir a la huelga ahora mismo. Es una decisión de permanecer unidos, respaldar a nuestro equipo y enviar un mensaje contundente. Estamos decididos a conseguir un contrato del que podamos estar orgullosos.

En este momento, vuestro empleador está dando largas al asunto. Ha incurrido en prácticas laborales injustas, entre ellas negarse a compartir información clave con vuestro equipo negociador. Cuando se sienta a la mesa, no negocia de buena fe. Eso se llama negociación superficial, y es totalmente inaceptable.

Mientras tanto, estamos luchando por lo que merecéis: aumentos salariales justos, mejoras en los horarios, protección de vuestra asistencia sanitaria y refuerzo de vuestras prestaciones de jubilación. Lo que ellos ofrecen y lo que merecéis está a años luz.

Por eso es fundamental que votéis a favor de la huelga. Demuestra que estamos unidos. Da fuerza a nuestras palabras cuando volvamos a la mesa de negociación. Vuestro empleador se centra en maximizar los beneficios. Eso es lo que hacen las empresas. Vuestro sindicato se centra en garantizaros lo que os corresponde. Eso es lo que hacemos nosotros.

Cuanto más fuerte sea el mensaje que enviemos ahora, más fuerte será tu contrato. Así que vota sí. No porque queramos ir a la huelga, sino porque estamos totalmente comprometidos con el progreso para ti y tus familias.
