UFCW Members at Stater Bros. Overwhelmingly Vote to Authorize a Strike

Southern California UFCW members working at Stater Bros. have overwhelmingly voted YES to authorize a strike—should it become necessary. This decisive vote sends a powerful message to Stater Bros. Our members are united, and we will not stand by while the company engages in tactics that undermine our rights and silence our voices.

This vote does not mean we are currently on strike. It gives your Union the authority to call for a strike if Stater Bros. continues to violate federal labor law or fails to negotiate in good faith. Members should continue working their scheduled shifts unless officially contacted by the Union—doing so risks disciplinary action from the employer.

We are scheduled to return to the bargaining table on July 30 and 31. Our goal remains securing a fair contract that respects your work, restores your rights, and reflects the value you bring to your stores. A strike is always a last resort, but we are prepared to take action if necessary.

In the meantime, stay engaged and stay informed. Wear your union buttons proudly and speak with your coworkers about the importance of standing together. If you have questions about the strike authorization or upcoming negotiations, please contact your District Union Representative.
