Healthcare was discussed extensively this week with the employers. Some progress was made in our language proposals with Safeway and Save Mart.
Additional meetings are scheduled with Safeway, Save Mart, and Raley’s through the end of the month.
“It’s imperative the employers recognize any agreement we reach must reward the dedication and hard work of our members. It’s their daily commitment which makes these companies successful,” said President Jacques Loveall.
Member solidarity plays a critical role in bargaining. We are determined to improve our members’ wages and protect their health benefits, pensions, and working conditions and we’re focused on achieving a contract our members will be proud to ratify.
